About Hot Lotto
Hot Lotto, launched in April 2002, offers Powerball-style play, but with easier odds and jackpots starting at $1 million. The largest Hot Lotto jackpot to date was claimed in January 2007 by an Iowa player. John Hall from Indianola won that $19.97 million jackpot prize.
How To Play
Pick 5 numbers out of 39. Then pick your Hot Ball, 1 out of 19.
Pick your own numbers or let the computer pick them for you by asking for an easy pick.
Purchase up to 10 consecutive drawings at a time.
Drawings held at 9:40 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. Sales cut-off time is 8:18 pm on the day of the drawing.
Win the jackpot by matching all 5 white numbers and the Hot Ball. Other prizes also awarded.
Hot Lotto prizes must be claimed within 365 days of the drawing for which they were eligible.
Hot Lotto Sizzler Option
Ask your retailer for the Hot Lotto Sizzler option every time you play Hot Lotto and you will triple your prize (except the jackpot).
Pay $1 extra per play and your prize, except for the jackpot, will be multiplied by three. A $500 prize would be worth $1,500 and a $10,000 prize would be worth $30,000! The Hot Lotto Sizzler is a permanent addition to the Hot Lotto game.
