CLIVE, Iowa — The countdown is on for a $50,000 Powerball® prize that remains unclaimed five months after it was won, and the Iowa Lottery reminds its players to double-check their tickets.
The $50,000-winning ticket was purchased at Kwik Star, 1910 First Ave. E. in Newton. The prize will expire at 4 p.m. on June 15 if it is not claimed by the deadline.
The ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball to win a $50,000 prize in the drawing on Dec. 15, 2025. The winning numbers that night were 23-35-59-63-68 and Powerball 2.
The prize can be claimed at any Iowa Lottery office. Prize-claim hours at lottery offices are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with offices closed on state holidays.
