CLIVE, Iowa An eastern Iowa man has won a $50,000 lottery prize.
Louis Flockhart of Olin won the third top prize in the Iowa Lottery's IOWA BLACKOUT scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Sundstop, 400 Jackson St. in Olin, and claimed his prize Wednesday at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office.
IOWA BLACKOUT is a $5 scratch game that features the distinctive Tigerhawk logo and the Hawkeyes' black and gold colors. It offers eight top prizes of $50,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.40.
From now until 9:59 a.m. on Oct. 20, players can enter nonwinning IOWA BLACKOUT tickets into the Iowa Lottery's second-chance promotion for a shot at stadium tickets or a VIP suite experience at an upcoming football game. For more information, visit www.ialottery.com.
