Story County Man Wins $100,000 Lottery Prize

Kevin Jacobson Claims Top Prize In 'The BIG Ticket' Scratch Game

CLIVE, Iowa – A Story County man has won a $100,000 lottery prize.

Kevin Jacobson of McCallsburg claimed the seventh of eight top prizes of $100,000 available in the lottery's "The BIG Ticket" scratch game. He claimed his prize Tuesday at the lottery's headquarters in Clive.

Jacobson said he bought his winning ticket in November at Casey's, 308 N. Washington St. in Wellsburg.

The BIG Ticket scratch game is a $20 ticket. More details about how to play this game, and number of prizes still up for grabs in it can be found on the Iowa Lottery's website, www.ialottery.com.

Since the lottery's start in 1985, its players have won more than $5.7 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised more than $2.4 billion for the state programs that benefit all Iowans.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
