NW Iowa Man Wins $10,000 Lottery Prize

Mark Puhrmann Claims Big Prize In '$250,000 Riches' Scratch Game

CLIVE, Iowa – A northwest Iowa man has won a $10,000 lottery prize.

Mark Puhrmann of Paullina claimed the 55th of 72 prizes of $10,000 available in the Iowa Lottery's "$250,000 Riches" scratch game. He claimed his prize Wednesday at the lottery's regional office in Storm Lake.

Puhrmann bought his winning ticket at Dyno's, 222 N. Clark St. in Paullina.

The $250,000 Riches scratch game is a $20 ticket. More details about how to play this game, and number of prizes still up for grabs in it can be found on the Iowa Lottery's website, www.ialottery.com.

Since the lottery's start in 1985, its players have won more than $5.7 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised more than $2.4 billion for the state programs that benefit all Iowans.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
