Six Large Prizes Ranging from $10,000 to $400,000 Were Won
DES MOINES, Iowa - No ticket sold in Iowa won Saturday's $276.3 million Powerball®
drawing, but several tickets sold in the state were one number away from winning it all, including a
ticket sold in Maquoketa that won a $400,000 prize.
Four Large Prizes Won in Powerball Drawing
Four tickets won large prizes in Saturday's Powerball drawing.
Three tickets won $10,000 prizes by matching four white numbers plus
the Powerball. In addition, one player (or players) won a $400,000 prize by matching five white
numbers and purchasing the Power Play® multiplier. Without the Power Play multiplier, the
ticket would only have won $200,000.
The Powerball tickets were sold at:

Powerball Jackpot Winner Sold In West Virginia
A ticket sold in West Virginia won Saturday's $276.3 million Powerball jackpot, the
seventh-largest prize in the history of the game. Saturday's winning Powerball numbers
were: 6-22-42-43-47 and Powerball 16. The Power Play multiplier was 2.
Two Large Prizes Won in Hot Lotto Drawing
Two tickets sold in Iowa won $10,000 prizes in Saturday's Hot Lotto drawing. Both tickets
were one number away from winning the $2.98 million Hot Lotto jackpot. Both tickets matched the
first five numbers, but missed the Hot Ball. Saturday's winning Hot Lotto numbers
were: 6-7-14-22-26 and Hot Ball 4.
The Hot Lotto tickets were sold at:

Iowa Jackpot Winners
Iowa Lottery players have claimed six Powerball jackpots:
- Ed Brown of Washington split a $10.4 million jackpot with a woman from Missouri in December 1992.
- Tim Schultz of Des Moines won a $28 million jackpot in February 1999.
- The Larry Hasken family of Sabula claimed a $31.8 million jackpot in January 2000.
- Jacquelyn Moore of Omaha, Neb., won a $14.4 million jackpot in October 2004. (She bought her ticket
at a convenience store in Carter Lake in western Iowa.)
- Hugh Hawkins of Des Moines claimed a $113.2 million jackpot in December 2005.
- Tim & Kellie Guderian of Fort Dodge claimed a $200.8 million jackpot in October 2006.
Since the Iowa Lottery's inception in 1985, more than $2.1 billion
has been awarded in prizes and more than $1.1 billion has been raised for state programs.
