$10,000-WINNING POWERBALL® TICKET
SOLD IN CLIVE TO EXPIRE SOON

Powerball Prize Will Expire Monday If Not Claimed

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Lottery is searching for the player holding a $10,000-winning Powerball ticket that will soon expire if it isn't claimed.

The ticket was sold at a Clive convenience store and won a prize almost a year ago. The prize will expire if someone does not claim it by the close of business on Monday.

The $10,000-winning ticket was sold at Citgo, 1500 NW 86th St. in Clive, for the Powerball drawing on Oct. 13, 2007. The ticket matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball to win a $10,000 prize. The winning numbers for that drawing were: 21-30-34-36-49 and Powerball 42. The Power Play number that night was 3.

As of Tuesday, no one had claimed the prize. The owner of the ticket has until 4 p.m. Monday (Oct. 13) to validate the ticket at one of the Iowa Lottery's offices.

“We're spreading the word that someone may still have a $10,000-winning ticket on their refrigerator or in their wallet, which is why we're encouraging all our players to double-check any tickets they may have,” said Iowa Lottery Acting CEO Ken Brickman.

Players in Iowa have up to 365 days from the date of the drawing to claim Powerball and Hot Lotto prizes. Players have up to 90 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes in Iowa's $100,000 Cash Game and the Iowa Lottery's Pick 3 and Pick 4 games. If the expiration date falls on a weekend or holiday when the lottery's offices are closed, the winner has until the close of business on the next business day to turn in the ticket.

Tickets for these major Iowa Lottery prizes also have yet to be claimed this calendar year:
