DES MOINES, Iowa - A Cedar Rapids man said he scratched off his "Bingo Boxes" lottery ticket and couldn't believe what he saw.

"I had to check it four times," said Tom Klein, 54.

Klein claimed the 10th of 24 top prizes of $25,000 available in the Bingo Boxes game. He said he purchased his winning ticket Monday at a Hy-Vee Convenience Store, 1440 32nd St. NE in Cedar Rapids and scratched it off the same day.

"I didn't even sleep last night, I was so excited," Klein told lottery employees Tuesday as he claimed his prize at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids.

Klein said he went to a retailer to have his ticket verified before he started to celebrate.

"I shared it with just about everybody I know," he said. "I'm still in shock over it."
