CARROLL MAN WINS $10,000

Paul Siegner Wins Big Prize in “Set for Life” Scratch Game

DES MOINES, Iowa - A Carroll County man may not be “set for life,” but he did recently claim a significant lottery prize.

Paul Siegner of Carroll won a $10,000 prize playing the “Set for Life” instant-scratch game. He purchased the winning ticket at Casey's, 600 N. Walnut St. in Carroll.

Siegner claimed the prize at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Storm Lake.

Set for Life is a $20 scratch game with eight top prizes of $1 million. Players who win the top prize have the option of receiving it as an annuity or lump-sum payment. If the winner chooses to take the annuity, he/she will be paid $40,000 per year for a period of 25 years. If the winner chooses to receive the lump-sum payment, he/she will receive $650,000 before taxes.

Siegner claimed the seventh $10,000 prize in the game. Four top prizes of $1 million are still up for grabs in the game, along with 10 prizes of $10,000, approximately 100 prizes of $1,000, about 200 prizes of $500 and more than 1,000 prizes of $100.

Since the Iowa Lottery's inception in 1985, more than $2.1 billion has been awarded in prizes and more than $1.1 billion has been raised for state programs.
