DES MOINES, Iowa - A group of 16 coworkers in northwestern Iowa has claimed a large lottery prize.

The coworkers, who work at the Wisdom Power Station in Spencer, won $200,000 in the April 30 Powerball® drawing. Dennis Berry of Graettinger purchased the winning ticket at the Graettinger Country Store, 1025 Highway 4.

Berry claimed the prize on behalf of the group at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Storm Lake.

The other members of the group sharing the prize with Berry are:

  • Cody Montgomery of Greenville
  • Stan Schauff of Orange City

  • Mike Cowell of Sioux Rapids
  • Patrick Connor, Monty Dammann, Steve DePauw, Darwin Johnson, Ray Lathrop, Steve Smith, Rodney Stephas and Kevin White of Spencer

The winning Powerball numbers for the April 30 drawing were: 1-17-25-43-51. The Powerball was 38. The Power Play® multiplier was 3.

Players can increase their prizes with the Power Play (except the jackpot) up to five times. The cost is $1 per play.

Just before the Powerball numbers are drawn, the Power Play wheel is spun. Slots on the wheel list the numbers 2 through 5, indicating the amount non-jackpot prizes will be multiplied if that number is drawn.
