WITH COLUMBUS JUNCTION MAN

Duane Foubert Claims Prize in May 7 Powerball Drawing

DES MOINES, Iowa - Two eastern Iowa men have claimed a large lottery prize.

Duane Foubert won $10,000 in the May 7 Powerball® drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at Casey's, 595 N. Kansas Ave. in North Liberty.

Foubert officially claimed the prize at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids. He split the prize with William Hingst of Columbus Junction.

The winning Powerball numbers for the May 7 drawing were: 9-25-26-28-42. The Powerball was 26. The Power Play®multiplier was 2.

If Foubert and Hingst had paid the extra $1 for the Power Play option, they would have split $20,000!

Players can increase their prizes with the Power Play (except the jackpot) up to five times. The cost is $1 per play.

Just before the Powerball numbers are drawn, the Power Play wheel is spun. Slots on the wheel list the numbers 2 through 5, indicating the amount prizes (except the jackpot) will be multiplied if that number is drawn.
