Pitts Wins Playing the "Goin' Green" Scratch Game
DES MOINES, Iowa – A Bellevue woman won the top prize of $10,000
playing the "Goin' Green" instant-scratch game.
Mary Pitts claimed her prize Monday at the Iowa Lottery's
regional office in Cedar Rapids. Pitts bought her winning ticket
at Wagner's Unlimited, 802 S. Riverview in Bellevue.
Goin' Green is a $2 instant scratch game. Players win a prize by
matching any of "Your Numbers" to either "Winning Number" and
win the prize shown for that number. If players uncover the
"Dollar Bill" symbol they win double the prize shown. The
overall odds of winning in the game are 1 in 3.75.
Three prizes of $10,000 are still up for grabs in Goin' Green as
well as 18 prizes of $500.
Since the Iowa Lottery's start in 1985, its players have won
more than $2.2 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised
more than $1.1 billion for state programs. |
