Bobbi Sanders Wins Top Prize Playing the "Roll 'Em" Scratch Game

DES MOINES, Iowa – A Moberly, MO woman was grateful to her sister for the winning $10,000 "Roll 'Em" scratch ticket she found in her stocking!

Bobbi Sanders, 40, said she thought the ticket was fake when she uncovered the top prize.

"As I was scratching it off, I looked at her and said, 'Is this fake?' And she said, 'No.' Nobody could believe it!" Sanders said.

Since the win, Sanders has had the chance to tell her friends at home as well as all her family.

"This cannot be real because I am not a lucky person!" Sanders laughed.

She plans to use her winnings to pay bills and take her children on vacation.

Sanders claimed her prize Monday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Council Bluffs. Her sister purchased the winning ticket at Eddy's, 1200 Locust St. in Glenwood.

The Roll 'Em scratch game is a $2 game. If any one roll totals seven, players win the prize shown for that roll. If any one roll totals 11, they win double the prize shown for that roll. The overall odds of winning in the game are 1 in 3.86.

Thirteen top prizes of $10,000 are still up for grabs in the Roll 'Em game, as well as 711 prizes of $100.

Since the Iowa Lottery's inception in 1985, more than $2.4 billion has been awarded in prizes and more than $1.2 billion has been raised for state programs.
