Carol Laufersweiler and Leroy Brown Claim Big Raffle Prizes
DES MOINES, Iowa - A Fort Dodge woman and a Des Moines man have claimed the top two "Pot O' Gold Raffle" prizes.
On March 17, the Iowa Lottery held the Pot O' Gold Raffle drawing and announced the 102 winning numbers.
Carol Laufersweiler of Fort Dodge was the raffle's top prize winner. She claimed her $328,833 prize on Monday at the Iowa Lottery's headquarters. Laufersweiler purchased her winning ticket at Kum & Go, 115 N. 22nd St. in Fort Dodge.
Leroy Brown of Des Moines claimed the raffle's second prize of $32,883 on Thursday at the Iowa Lottery's headquarters. He purchased his winning ticket at Casey's, 1125 N. Hickory Blvd. in Pleasant Hill.
The 100 raffle prizes of $328 can be claimed at a lottery retail location or one of the lottery's offices. Players must keep their tickets to check them against the winning numbers and must present them to claim a prize.
Players are encouraged to check their tickets and claim their prizes by the deadline at the close of business on June 15.
The winning raffle numbers are posted on the lottery Web site at www.ialottery.com and are available via reports printed from lottery terminals. In addition, the list is available on posters in retail locations and lottery regional offices.
