Hear Kelly tell her story.
DES MOINES, Iowa - A Monticello woman said she picked up a "Racing To Riches" ticket because she hadn't tried it yet and she ended up winning the top prize of $30,000.
Kelly Bradley, 31, said she typically likes to play more simple tickets, but Racing To Riches had an appeal to it that she hadn't tried before.
"It was just a new one I hadn't tried, and so I decided to try it. It was fun," Bradley said.
Bradley said she scratched the ticket in her car while she was with her son. She said he was excited and asked to get a new game with some of the winnings.
Since discovering her win, Bradley has told most of her family about the prize. She said she plans to use some of her winnings to do home renovations on her new house.
Bradley claimed her prize Thursday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids. She purchased her winning ticket at Casey's, 627 S. Main St. in Monticello.
