Des Moines Woman Wins $10,000 Powerball Prize

Nancy Stanbrough Won Prize in June 19 Drawing

Nancy Stanbrough

DES MOINES, Iowa - A Des Moines woman has won a $10,000 Powerball prize with a ticket she purchased in northern Iowa.

Nancy Stanbrough's ticket matched four the first five numbers and the Powerball to win a $10,000 prize in the June 19 drawing. She bought her winning ticket at The Jo Stop, 828 471st St. in Northwood and claimed her prize at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Des Moines.

The winning numbers in the $79.1 million jackpot drawing on June 19 were 9-30-31-50-54 and Powerball 39. The Power Play® multiplier was 3. Stanbrough’s ticket matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball to win a $10,000 prize. Had Stanbrough added the Power Play to her ticket, she would have multiplied her prize by three to $30,000.

Players can increase their prizes with the Power Play (except the jackpot) up to five times. The cost is $1 per play. The Power Play number, 2 through 5, is chosen at the beginning of the drawing indicating the amount prizes (except the jackpot) will be multiplied if that number is drawn.
