Emmetsburg Woman Wins $30,000 Lottery Prize

DES MOINES, Iowa - An Emmetsburg woman won a $30,000 prize in the Aug. 18 Hot Lotto drawing.
Carol Frederick claimed her prize Friday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Storm Lake. She purchased her winning ticket at Kum & Go, 3001 Main St. in Emmetsburg.
The winning numbers in the $5.24 million Hot Lotto jackpot drawing on August 18 were: 1-4-13-26-28 and Hot Ball 4. There was no jackpot winner for that night's drawing.
Frederick won a $10,000 prize by matching the first five numbers but missing the Hot Ball on her ticket. Because she had added the Sizzler® option to her ticket, Frederick multiplied her $10,000 win by three to claim a $30,000 prize.
