Marshalltown Man Wins $30,000 Lottery Prize

DES MOINES, Iowa - A Marshalltown man won a $30,000 prize playing "Hot Lotto."
Jim Roberts claimed his prize Thursday at the Iowa Lottery's headquarters in Des Moines. He purchased his winning ticket at Haley's Grocery, 501 N. Third Ave. in Marshalltown.
Roberts won a $10,000 prize by matching the first five numbers but missing the Hot Ball on his ticket. Because he had added the Sizzler® option to his ticket, Roberts multiplied his $10,000 win by three to claim a $30,000 prize.
The winning numbers in the $7.08 million Hot Lotto jackpot drawing on Sept. 15 were: 1-3-4-11-12 and Hot Ball 4. There was no jackpot winner for that night's drawing.
