DES MOINES, Iowa - A Cedar Rapids man won the top prize of $30,000 playing the lottery's "Crossword" instant-scratch game.
Jerry Banes claimed his prize Thursday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids. He purchased his winning ticket at Uptown Liquor & Tobacco, 2000 Wiley Blvd. SW in Cedar Rapids.
