DES MOINES, Iowa - A Union County man won the top prize of $30,000 playing the lottery's "Crossword" instant-scratch game.
Gary Palmer from Afton claimed his prize Thursday at the Iowa Lottery's headquarters in Des Moines. He purchased his winning ticket at Casey's, 501 N. Douglas St. in Afton.
