Amy Duncombe Claims $10,000 Prize In "Lifetime Riches" Scratch Game
DES MOINES, Iowa - A Davenport woman said she couldn't describe how she felt when she discovered she'd won a $10,000 prize playing the lottery's "Lifetime Riches" instant-scratch game.
Amy Duncombe, 27, said she's only played the Lifetime Riches game a handful of times, and couldn't believe her eyes when she saw what she'd won.
"I was actually in the car when I scratched my ticket," Duncombe said. "I just acted like a nutcase all by myself."
Duncombe said she drove straight home after discovering the prize and called her husband, Ivan. Duncombe said her husband joked that he wouldn't be able to tease her about buying lottery tickets anymore.
"My dad asked me if I was sure that's how you play the game," Duncombe said with a laugh.
Duncombe, who is a server at Buffalo Wild Wings in Davenport, said she plans to use some of her winnings for car repairs.
She purchased her winning ticket at Kwik Shop, 1670 W. Kimberly Road in Davenport.
