Nebraska Man Wins the Top Prize Playing "Crossword" Scratch Game
DES MOINES, Iowa - A Nebraska man won a $30,000 prize with a scratch ticket he purchased at a Council Bluffs convenience store.
John Dearth of Bellevue, Neb., was playing the lottery's "Crossword" instant-scratch game when he won. He purchased his winning ticket at Lake Manawa Convenience, 1115 W. South Omaha Bridge Road in Council Bluffs. He claimed his prize on Monday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Council Bluffs.
