Indianola Woman Wins $10,000 Lottery Prize

Phyllis Chumbley Claims Prize from Sept. 13 Mega Millions® Drawing

DES MOINES, Iowa - An Indianola woman won a $10,000 prize in the Sept. 13 Mega Millions drawing.

Phyllis Chumbley claimed her prize Sept. 14 at the Iowa Lottery's headquarters in Des Moines. She purchased her winning ticket at Indy 66, 2001 W. Second Ave. in Indianola.

The winning numbers in the $54 million Mega Millions drawing on Sept. 13 were: 22-31-43-48-56 and Mega Ball 45. The Megaplier&3174; number that night was 4. Chumbley's ticket matched the four white balls and the Mega Ball to win a $10,000 prize. Had she added the Megaplier option to her ticket, Chumbley would have multiplied her $10,000 win by four to claim a $40,000 prize.

There was no jackpot winner in the Sept. 13 Mega Millions drawing.

Players can multiply their prizes (except the jackpot) with the Megaplier up to four times. The cost is $1 per play.
