Delores Schrage Wins Top Prize Playing "Santa Games Doubler" Scratch Game

DES MOINES, Iowa - While on a break at work, a Parkersburg woman scratched a "Santa Games Doubler" ticket and won a top prize of $10,000.

Delores 'Dee' Schrage, 53, said there was a lull at the Arby's she manages, so she took a break and walked to the adjoining convenience store, The Mill, 16250 N. Ave. in Holland and bought a couple of scratch tickets.

"I was shaking. I didn't really believe it," Schrage said. "I think the people around me were more excited than I was until it hit me."

Schrage first told her coworkers about her win, and then called her brother. Her brother accompanied her to claim the prize Dec. 13 at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids.

"This just isn't something you want to do by yourself," Schrage said.

Schrage plans to use some of her winnings to pay off her house.

Players can "Super Tech" the Halls in the Iowa Lottery's Super Tech promotion this holiday season.
