DES MOINES, Iowa - A Cedar Rapids woman said when she discovered her $30,000 top prize win on her "Crossword" scratch ticket, she and her family celebrated.
Lisa Pirtle, 39, said she was visiting her sister when she scratched the ticket.
"I looked at it like ten times," Pirtle said. "They jumped up and down."
Pirtle said she got little to no sleep before claiming her prize Feb. 13 at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids. She said she hadn't told anyone else about her win yet.
"I just had to confirm it first," she said.
Pirtle said she plans to use some of her winnings to pay bills.
Pirtle, who works for the post office in Cedar Rapids, purchased her winning ticket at Hy-Vee, 3235 Oakland Road N.E. in Cedar Rapids.
