DES MOINES, Iowa - A Bettendorf man and a Pleasant Valley man won a $10,000 prize in Friday's Mega Millions drawing.
Gary Jennings and Kenneth Johansen claimed their prize Monday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids. The winning ticket was purchased at Lund's Phillips 66, 975 Spruce Hills Drive in Bettendorf.
The winning numbers in the $108 million Mega Millions drawing on Friday were 16-29-48-52-54 and Mega Ball 5. The Megaplier® number that night was 2. Jennings and Johansen's ticket matched the four white balls and the Mega Ball to win a $10,000 prize. Had they added the Megaplier option to their ticket, they would have multiplied their $10,000 win by two to claim a $20,000 prize.
There was no jackpot winner in Friday's Mega Millions drawing.
Players can multiply their prizes (except the jackpot) with the Megaplier up to four times. The cost is $1 per play.
