DES MOINES, Iowa - When an Anamosa woman stopped for coffee, she decided to also purchase a "Triple Fortune" instant-scratch ticket, but never thought she'd win a $10,000 top prize.
Natasha Miller, 33, decided to scratch the ticket in her car in the parking lot of Casey's, 1752 Hwy. 64 E. in Anamosa.
"The very first top line had money bags," Miller said. "And then I saw the prize and I was pretty much speechless."
Miller immediately called her husband to tell him the news.
"He thought I was messing with him but I told him, 'No, I'm not!'" she said. "It's been wonderful and fun."
Miller, who is a dental assistant, claimed her prize just hours after scratching the ticket Wednesday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids.
"I have lots of missed calls now," Miller joked.
Miller said she plans to use some of her winnings to remodel the basement of her home.
"I also have two girls so we'll probably take a little trip since their birthdays are coming up in the next couple of weeks," she said.
