John Walsh Claims Prize from Nov. 23 Mega Millions® Drawing
DES MOINES, Iowa - A group of nine claimed a $10,000 Mega Millions prize from the drawing on Nov. 23.
John Walsh claimed the prize Friday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids on behalf of the group. The winning ticket was purchased at Quik 'N Handi, 206 S. Center Ave. in Epworth.
The names and cities of residence of the nine men and women who are members of the group are: John Derga of Dyersville, Brad Hoffman of Dyersville, Lisa Vierkant of Dyersville, Janet Zalaznik of Dyersville, Brenda Bildstein of Earlville, Joan Ronnebaum of Earlville, Walsh of Epworth, Dianne Kluesner of Luxemburg and Lynn Krogman of Worthington.The winning numbers in the $41 million Mega Millions jackpot drawing on Nov. 23 were: 8-37-44-47-48 and Mega Ball 27. The Megaplier® number that night was 4.
The group matched four white balls and the Mega Ball to win a $10,000 prize. Had they added the Megaplier to the ticket, they would have multiplied the win to $40,000.
There was no jackpot winner in the Nov. 23 drawing. Friday's estimated jackpot is $35 million.
Players can multiply their prizes (except the jackpot) with the Megaplier up to four times. The cost is $1 per play.
