Second Time's A Charm For Clay County Man

James 'Jimbo' Feldman Wins $10,000 Prize in "Game Book" Scratch Game

James 'Jimbo' Feldman   Hear Jimbo tell his story.

DES MOINES, Iowa - After winning $25 on his "Game Book" instant-scratch ticket, a Clay County man decided to play the same game again and ended up winning a huge prize.

James 'Jimbo' Feldman, 54, claimed the second of six prizes of $10,000 in Game Book at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Storm Lake Tuesday.

Feldman said his stepson, Cody Burgin, traded in his previous winning ticket for him.

"He says, 'Well, how's it going?'" Feldman said. "I said, 'Well, I won ten thousand!'"

Feldman said he was in disbelief until they took the ticket to a retailer in his hometown of Fostoria.

"They're good, I know all the people. It's a pretty small town; everybody knows everybody," Feldman said. "Everybody knew within 20 minutes."

Burgin purchased the winning ticket at Cenex, 12 Iowa Highway 71 NW in Fostoria. Feldman, who works at Rosenboom Machine and Tool in Spirit Lake building hydraulic lines, said he plans to save the winnings for his wife, Cindy, and himself for a rainy day.

"You've got it when you need it," he said.
