Two Friends Share $10,000 Prize From Lottery Ticket Purchased In Hiawatha

Arif Rafiq and Jeremy Powell Share Big Prize in "Game Book" Scratch Game

DES MOINES, Iowa - A Hiawatha man won the fourth of six prizes of $10,000 playing the lottery's "Game Book" instant-scratch game.

Two friends are sharing a big lottery prize from a ticket they bought in Hiawatha.

Arif Rafiq from Hiawatha and Jeremy Powell from Chicago, Ill., have split the fourth of six prizes of $10,000 available in the Iowa Lottery's "Game Book" instant-scratch game. The Game Book's top prize is $100,000 and three of those prizes remain unclaimed.

Rafiq and Powell claimed their prize Friday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids. They purchased their winning ticket at Quick Mart, 655 Robins Road in Hiawatha.
