DES MOINES, Iowa - An Oklahoma man purchased a Powerball ticket while working in Iowa over the summer and ended up winning a $10,000 prize.

Keith Greene, a maintenance manager for an Oklahoma-based company, said he was working at one of the company's plants in western Iowa and decided to purchase a couple of Powerball tickets for the large jackpot drawing on Aug. 7. He purchased his winning ticket at Casey's, 825 Flindt Drive in Storm Lake.

"I bought the tickets, I got busy," Greene, of Tulsa, Okla., said. "I dropped it in my little travel bag and wasn't thinking about it."

Greene, 55, said he was preparing to travel to Des Moines to visit his sister for Thanksgiving when he found the tickets in his bag.

"I thought, 'Well, I better check these and I looked and I had all the numbers but one,'" he said. "I lost my breath."

The winning numbers in the $448.4 million jackpot drawing on Aug. 7 were 5-25-30-58-59 and Powerball 32. The jackpot that night was split amongst three tickets purchased in Minnesota and New Jersey. Greene matched four white balls and the Powerball in the same drawing to win a $10,000 lottery prize.

Greene claimed his prize Nov. 27 at the Iowa Lottery's headquarters in Des Moines. He said he plans to save a majority of his winnings.

"That's lucky, that's lucky," Greene said. "I'm very happy that I'm that lucky, but I was only one number from being extremely lucky!"
