Stephanie Kelley   Hear Stephanie tell her story.

DES MOINES, Iowa - An Illinois woman purchased an instant-scratch ticket from a Bettendorf convenience store where she works and ended up winning a $100,000 top prize.

Stephanie Kelley of Silvis, Ill. said she scratched off her "Cash Inferno" ticket and couldn't believe what she saw. She said she purchased her winning ticket Wednesday at QC Mart, 1402 State St. in Bettendorf.

"I thought I was just kidding," Kelley, 27, said.

Kelley claimed her prize the same day at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids. She claimed the seventh of nine top prizes of $100,000 available in the Cash Inferno game.

Kelley said her lottery winnings will be used as a down payment on a house.

Cash Inferno is a $10 scratch game. Players scratch the "lucky symbols" and "your symbols" in each row. If a player matches the "2X, 5X or 10X your symbols" to the "lucky symbol," they win two, five or 10 times the prize shown for that row. Each row is played separately. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game are 1 in 3.11.

Two top prizes of $100,000 are still up for grabs in Cash Inferno, as well as four prizes of $10,000, 91 prizes of $1,000 and thousands of prizes from $100 to $300.
