Promotion Winners Were Selected In Tuesday Drawing, Will Get To Meet Football Greats
DES MOINES, Iowa - Six lottery players from across the state were selected Tuesday as the winners in the Iowa Lottery's "Hall of Fame" promotion and will get to meet pro football greats during a trip this spring to Ohio.
Lottery officials conducted the Hall of Fame promotion drawing on Tuesday, selecting the winners of six trip packages, each for four people, to the Pro Football Hall of Fame's 50th Anniversary Fan Festival on May 3-4. The winners are:
The trip winners and their guests will get to exclusively attend a Tailgate Party on May 2 in Cleveland, Ohio, with at least 100 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame&3174;. They'll have dinner that night with the football greats and join them to play in a tournament of games (darts, pool and miniature golf). The Powerball players who win the trips also will get to be part of a winners-only prize event where they'll win a cash prize of $1,000, $25,000 or possibly $1 million.
Each trip package includes hotel accommodations for four nights; admission tickets to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum™ in Cleveland; round-trip ground transportation from the Cleveland Hopkins Airport to the hotel and all sponsored events; meals and $500 spending money. Each package, with required state and federal withholding taxes paid, is valued at $15,000.
Iowa Lottery players made more than 38,000 entries in the Hall of Fame promotion. From noon on Nov. 8 through noon on Monday, Iowa Lottery players who had made a Powerball purchase of $10 or more on one ticket could enter into the promotion via the lottery's website using the entry code that was automatically generated on their ticket.Return to top↑
