DES MOINES, Iowa - A Cedar Rapids man has won a $10,000 prize playing the Iowa Lottery's "Cash Celebration Bonanza" instant-scratch game.

Billy Smiley claimed his prize Thursday at the lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids. He claimed the 22nd of 26 prizes of $10,000 available in the Cash Celebration Bonanza game.

Smith purchased his winning ticket at Kum & Go, 2108 Isaac Newton Drive in Ames.

Cash Celebration Bonanza is a $10 scratch game. Players win a prize by matching any of "your numbers" to any of the "winning numbers" and win the prize shown for that number. If players find the "coin" symbol, they win that prize instantly. If they find the "star" symbol, they win double the prize amount shown for that symbol. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game are 1 in 3.57.

Two top prizes of $250,000 are still up for grabs in Cash Celebration Bonanza, as well as four prizes of $10,000, 11 prizes of $4,000, 154 prizes of $1,000, 439 prizes of $500 and several thousand prizes of $200 and $100.
