Sean Milbrandt Wins Top Prize Playing "Super 7's" Scratch Game

DES MOINES, Iowa – A Waukon man won the top prize playing the Iowa Lottery's "Super 7's" instant-scratch game.

Sean Milbrandt claimed his prize Thursday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids. He purchased his winning ticket at Fareway, 777 11th Ave. S.W. in Waukon.

Super 7's is a $2 scratch game. Players win a prize by matching any of "Your Numbers" to either "Winning Number" and win the prize shown for that number. If players find the "Lightning Bolt" symbol, they win that prize instantly. If they find the "7X" symbol, they win seven times the prize amount shown for that symbol.

Five prizes of $14,000 are still up for grabs in Super 7's as well as 17 prizes of $700, 94 prizes of $140 and more than 125 prizes of $70.

Since the Iowa Lottery's start in 1985, its players have won more than $2.4 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised more than $1.2 billion for state programs.
