DES MOINES, Iowa - A Bettendorf woman said she didn't know how to react after winning a big lottery prize.

Christine Stickfort claimed the fifth of 32 prizes of $10,000 available in the Iowa Lottery's "$250,000 Club" scratch game.

The 48-year-old said she purchased her winning ticket Aug. 7 at Hy-Vee, 2900 Devil's Glen Road in Bettendorf and scratched it off before leaving the store. She said she knew right away that she had won.

"I was shaking a little bit, but that was it," Stickfort told lottery employees as she claimed her prize Monday at the lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids.

Stickfort handed her ticket to a store clerk to double-check that she had won.

"He's like, 'Congratulations.' Otherwise that was it," she said.

Stickfort, who is married and has two adult children, said how she'll spend her winnings is yet to be determined.

"I really haven't thought about it yet, what I really want. There are so many things, I just don't know what yet," she said.

The $250,000 Club scratch game is a $20 ticket. If a player matches any of "Your Numbers" to the "Club Numbers," he/she wins a prize. If a player reveals a "Dollar Bill" symbol, he/she wins a prize automatically, and if a player reveals a "Money Bag" symbol, he/she wins triple the prize shown. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game are 1 in 2.88.

Eight top prizes of $250,000 are still up for grabs in $250,000 Club, as well as 27 prizes of $10,000, and hundreds of prizes between $100 and $1,000.
