VIP Club Refer A Friend Program

Players can earn extra points by inviting their friends to join the Iowa Lottery VIP Club.

If you are a member of the Lottery's VIP Club, you can earn extra points by inviting your friends to join the Iowa Lottery VIP Club, too! If you're not a member yet, join today!

How does it work? You may invite your friends age 21 and over to join the VIP Club through a link on the VIP Club website by entering the friend's name and email address. An email will then be sent to the friend inviting them to join the Club, and the referrer will receive a copy of it. The email will contain a code that the friend must enter when registering for the Club so that the referrer will get credit for the referral. Once that friend joins and successfully enters five nonwinning scratch tickets in the Points For Prizes™ program, the referrer receives the same amount of points the friend receives for those first five tickets.

How you may refer a friend:

• Click on the "Refer A Friend" (RAF) link on the left-hand navigation bar on the VIP Club site (www.ialotteryvip.com); you must be logged in to refer a friend.
• Enter a friend's first name and state of residence in the form.
• Enter and confirm the friend's email address in the form.
• The friend will receive an email inviting them to join the VIP Club.
• When the friend has registered using the referral sent and entered their first five ticket codes, the referrer (that's you!) will be awarded points equal to the point value of the friend's five tickets!

Important points about the RAF program:

• You may invite as many friends as they like to join, but you'll only receive the points from the first five friends who join and enter five ticket codes.
• You'll will receive notification when you have received points from a friend's tickets.
• If two people refer the same friend, the referred friend would receive two invitation emails, both containing unique RAF codes. Whichever one the referred friend clicked on and registered with first would be the one who gets points/credit. The referred friend would not be able to do the same for the second invite as each player can only enter one RAF code.
• If you attempt to refer someone who is already a VIP Club member, you'll receive a message that says that the email address entered is already a VIP Club member.
• Members may refer friends even if they do not have any points yet.
• Once a friend has joined the Club, they may enter tickets in the Points For Prizes program immediately.
