Cash Jackpot

When a player wins the Hot Lotto jackpot, the prize is paid as a lump-sum payment with all state and federal withholding taxes paid for the winner. The prize will be a single cash payment equal to the amount available to the lottery for the jackpot prize pool and/or the amount due for state and federal withholding taxes. So if, for example, the advertised jackpot is $2 million, the winner will receive a one-time lump-sum payment for that full amount.
