CLIVE, Iowa - A stop for donuts led to a $50,000 surprise for an Ottumwa woman.

Bridget Findley, 46, won the second top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "Joker's Wild" scratch game. The big win came on a ticket her husband purchased at Casey's, 346 Richmond Ave. in Ottumwa.

"I didn't believe it," Findley said on Monday as she claimed her prize at the lottery's main office in Clive. "Very surreal, very unreal. It was very shocking."

Findley said she has no immediate plans to buy anything with her winnings.

"We're pretty much just going to put it back in our savings," she said. "If something comes up, we don't have to stress about it, we've got it."

Joker's Wild is a $5 scratch game that features eight top prizes of $50,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.60. For more information about this game, and the number of prizes still available, visit ialottery.com.
