CLIVE, Iowa - A northwest Iowa woman has won a $100,000 lottery prize.
Valerie Whaley of Sergeant Bluff won the 36th top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "$100,000 Mega Crossword" scratch game. She purchased her winning ticket at Fareway, 700 First St. in Sergeant Bluff, and claimed her prize Monday at the lottery's Storm Lake regional office.
