CLIVE, Iowa - An Illinois woman visiting her sister in Iowa bought a few scratch tickets and won a $10,000 prize.

Kathleen Faulkner, 52, of Bradley, Ill., won the fifth top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "Baseball" scratch game. She used her pocket change to buy a few tickets at Casey's, 9125 Atlantic Drive SW in Cedar Rapids, and uncovered the big prize on the second one she scratched.

"Couldn't believe it," Faulkner said on Tuesday as she claimed her prize at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office. "I just kept looking at the ticket. I was in shock. This doesn't happen every day. It was very unexpected."
