CLIVE, Iowa — A Cedar Rapids woman has won a lottery prize of more than $29,000.
Samantha Willis Corrigan won a jackpot prize in the Iowa Lottery's "JURASSIC PARK Progressive" InstaPlay game. She purchased her winning ticket at Fas Mart, 550 Wilson Ave. SW in Cedar Rapids, and claimed her prize of $29,368 on Friday at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office.
The game's jackpot starts at $10,000 and increases with every ticket sold statewide until it's won.
The InstaPlay product combines features from instant-scratch and lotto games. InstaPlay tickets are called "scratchless" because they have no security coating that needs to be removed to determine the prize won. And rather than having supplies of tickets printed in advance like those in traditional scratch and pull-tab games, InstaPlay tickets are printed on demand from the lottery terminal.
From now until 9:59 a.m. on Oct. 1, players can enter nonwinning JURASSIC PARK Progressive tickets into a second-chance promotion that will award 10 prizes of $10,000 and a pair of trips for two to Hawaii. For more information about this promotion, visit ialottery.com.
