CLIVE, Iowa — A Linn County man has won a $300,000 lottery prize.

Richard Zieser of Coggon won a top prize in the Iowa Lottery's “$300,000 Jackpot” scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Casey's, 5110 S. Highway 13 in Coggon, and claimed his prize Tuesday at the lottery's Clive main office.

The $300,000 Jackpot game is a $30 scratch game that features prizes from $30 to $300,000 and overall odds of 1 in 2.29. For more information about this game, and the number of prizes still available, visit www.ialottery.com.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
