CLIVE, Iowa - A Linn County man has won a $100,000 lottery prize on a ticket he purchased in Iowa City.

Joshua Wolfe of Lisbon won the ninth top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "Jewel Game Book" scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Kum & Go, 2303 Muscatine Ave. in Iowa City, and claimed his prize Friday at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office.

The Jewel Game Book a $20 scratch game. It features six pages of games, 10 top prizes of $100,000 and overall odds of 1 in 2.52. For more information about this game, and the number of prizes still available, visit ialottery.com.

Since the lottery's start in 1985, its players have won more than $5.7 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised more than $2.4 billion for the state programs that benefit all Iowans.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
